Gateway
Pairing a gateway will allow you to control and manage your lights from your app at any time. Once the gateway is paired, you can access your lights from your app from anywhere in the world, as long as you have internet. You can control your lights, schedule them or set them up and the changes will be sent straight to the gateway to implement your changes.
Step 1
Plug in your gateway to the power and connect the ethernet cord to your router. Make sure the ethernet cord is secure from the back of the gateway to the router. Connect your phone to the same WIFI for the router the gateway is connected to. Verify that the internet is working properly by opening a browser on your phone while connected to the same WIFI. Now, when you open up the app, you will get a notification that a gateway has been found, click on "ADD" to start the pairing process.
Step 2
Follow the instructions. Make sure (1) the bluetooth is turned on for your phone and it is nearby the gateway. Also, make sure (2) the ethernet cable is connected to the gateway, then click on "Next".
Step 3
After the gateway has been added to the account, the ethernet or wifi connection needs to be setup. Select "Ethernet Cable" for this example.
.
Step 4
Now, the app will check the local and internet connection, then sync the gateway configuration changes. You will be brought to a "Summary" page where you can make sure all 3 steps of the pairing process were completed. Click on "Done".
.
Step 5
It will take the app a few minutes to authenticate the pairing. After a few minutes, your gateway will show up as "ONLINE". You are now able to control and manage your lights remotely.
