Step-by-Step process : To Add a Gateway
- Log into your BR Installer application.
- If there is an unpaired Gateway, a pairing popup will appear in the network screen. Tap “ADD” & tap “Next’.
- Name the gateway and tap “ADD”.
- Since a gateway needs proper internet connection, there are two ways to provide internet to gateway, mentioned below :
(a) via Ethernet connection
(b) via WiFi connection
- Make sure the gateway and phone are connected to same Wifi connection. Select "WiFi" and enter the Wifi name and password to get the gateway connected.
- If the BSP version of the Gateway is the latest version, the gateway will be successfully authenticated and paired in the network.
Update BSP option
The Gateway update comes with two different version updates :
- Gateway BSP version update
- Gateway BLE version update
Firstly lets see how the Gateway BSP version update works
- If the BSP version of the Gateway is below 59 or less than the latest version, a popup will appear in the next step of successful WiFi connection.
- Simply tap on Update and wait until 8 to 10 minutes for the completion of Firmware update
- Once the given time is complete try pairing the Gateway again.Go to Add Devices from More options and add a gateway or close the application and open again to pair from the Gateway pairing popup option.
- Repeat the same steps again and after successful internet connection is established, gateway will be displayed in network, Now you are ready to remotely connect to the network
Now lets see how the Gateway BLE version update works
- If the BLE version of the Gateway is of version below 1B7 or less than the latest version, a popup will appear in the next step of successful WiFi connection. Tap on "Update".
- You will be able to see the Update process.
- After a successful update, the pairing process will continue, tap on “Next”.
- A summary screen will appear after the set up process completes, tap “Done”.
- The Gateway will be authenticated within the app and displayed in the network screen.
- Now you are ready to remotely connect to the network.
