Repeaters are not necessary in most roofline installs but there are times when they can be helpful or needed to enchance the connection. Example of roofline installs that might need a repeater :
1. An owner has multiple buildings (Main house, guest house, pool house, etc) and they are having issues connecting to the guest house from the main house. Adding a repeater in between those distances or at the end of a run will help with this connection issue.
Powering a repeater :
You can power a repeater by connecting it to the end of a nugget controller run or different places in the run using a T way connector.
Landscape lighting situation with no nuggets to connect a repeater for power :
Connect power from the landscape lighting to the repeater (12V/ AC power) by cutting the 2 pin connector, then splice the repeater in with the existing power run for the landscape lighting. This needs to be sealed properly to be protected from moisture and weather conditions.
